Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.noon.capital/built-for-high-yields/our-stablecoin-usn-and-susn/return-distribution.md). # Return distribution Returns from **USN** is allocated strategically to benefit the ecosystem. * **A substantial portion (80%) is distributed as yield to ****sUSN**** holders.** This portion of the return is generated in USDT or USDC, which is then in turn used to mint **USN** directly into the **USN** staking contract. * **A small portion (10%) is allocated to the ****Noon**** Insurance Fund (NIF).** This portion of the return is generated in USDT or USDC, which is then moved regularly into the NIF. When this fund is sufficiently capitalised (after 6 months\*), we use these funds to buy-back **$NOON** tokens, and distribute them to staked **$NOON** (**$sNOON**) holders. * **A small portion (10%) will be allocated to the ****Noon**** Operating Fund.** These funds will be used only to cover the operating costs of **Noon**. Any funds left over after covering the operating costs of **Noon** will be transferred to the **NIF**, and further distributed accordingly.

We have endeavoured to ensure that as much of **Noon**'s raw returns are distributed to our users as possible. We will continue in this vein in the future.\ \ \**Updated in January 2026: the seasoning period increased from 3 months to 6 months.*
